Toyota Camry Redesigned; Safety Still First

Coming in to 2018 is the newly redesigned Toyota Camry, while the exterior of the new Camry is stunning, it's what you don't see that is truly impressive. The new Camry is now sporting an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for its improved front crash prevention system and the available headlights all earn good or acceptable ratings.

What makes an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+; a vehicle must meet safety test standards created by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. There are three criteria to get the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award a vehicle must receive good ratings in all five crashworthiness tests, advanced or superior rating for front crashing prevention, and acceptable or good headlight rating.

According to the IIHS the new Camry, among midsize cars that meet the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ criteria, is above the rest. Superior rated standard front crash prevention system and available good rated headlights make the unseen as great as the newly redesigned body.
