A 3.4L twin-turbo V6 paired with an electric motor and a 10-speed automatic produces 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. There is no gas-only version to step up from, and the electric assist puts torque underfoot the instant you pull away with a loaded trailer behind you.

Serious towing hardware

Properly equipped, the Sequoia tows up to 9,520 lbs on the same body-on-frame platform as the Tundra. Trailer Sway Control is standard, an integrated trailer brake controller is available, and the Tow Technology package adds a digital rearview mirror and Trailer Backup Guide with Straight Path Assist.

Three rows, more standard for 2026

Seat eight, or seven with second-row captain's chairs. Power-folding third-row seats and a power back door are now standard across the lineup, with an available 14-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and available load-leveling rear air suspension.
